Position: Institutional Sales Support Associate

Responsible for providing support to the institutional sales team and their customers; fulfill sales order requests and respond to customer inquiries (phone or in-person) about products and services; and provide/guarantee excellent customer service at all times by ensuring that the customer's requirements are fulfilled to their satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales Team to ensure that all transactions/purchase orders are processed accurately and promptly.
  • Proactively identify up-sell opportunities and close sale or work with Sales as appropriate to close the sale.
  • Work closely and effectively with various departments to ensure customers concerns and issues are resolved in a timely manner, whether by phone or assisting customers in-store.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse staff to make sure that customer orders will be delivered on time, while maintaining/reducing freight costs.
  • Enter and process orders through the company POS system; review open orders; review and process return requests; research and resolve customer account problems; assist with invoice packets.
  • Navigate through the store inventory system to review merchandise levels and ensure the completeness of orders.  Assist with the annual physical inventory, if required.
  • Provide customer feedback to management in order to continuously improve the shopping experience
  • Follows all safety requirements according to the company safety policies and procedures.  Maintain stores cleanliness and organization.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • 2+ years work experience in customer service, preferably in the food/beverage/hospitality industry and/or wholesale/warehouse sales industry.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and an excellent command of the English language.  Must be able to interface with other departments and teams in a professional and cooperative manner.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving, decision-making, critical-thinking skills.  Must be proactive; able to identify problems and initiate corrective actions.
  • Must be extremely detail-oriented and organized; have excellent mathematical skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
  • Must have a high level of proficiency using common office software, i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook and distribution.
  • Familiarity with, or have experience using Activant/Epicor Eagle Browser and POS system a plus.
  • Able to develop solid relationships with customers and Trimark employees.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Asian-languages, a plus.
  • High school diploma, required.  Bachelor's/College degree (Retail, Marketing, Business Management or equivalent), preferred.
