Kitchen Design, Equipment, and Project Management provided by TriMark United East

Boston’s Innovation District was developed to attract employers to its waterfront region. A focal point of the Innovation District is District Hall, a large indoor space created for community meetings, networking, classes, and of course, dining. The Briar Group turned to TriMark United East to provide the foodservice design, equipment and project management for its latest venue, Gather, located inside District Hall.

Project Highlights

  • Innovative energy recovery systems for dishwashers and ventilation solutions for LEED-certified facility
  • Mezzanine-level equipment features walk-in cooler, beer cooler, freezer, and dry storage
  • Kitchen design and operations support  a 100-seat restaurant;  grab and go café;  and  private function room that serves more than 200 people—overall building capacity is 660 people
“TriMark United East designed an extremely efficient kitchen space that saved energy costs with very low overhead.  We’ve had a great reception so far, and we’ve already booked more than 40 large parties in our first month of operations,” said Tom Shea, Chief Operating Officer for The Briar Group.
