Shake Shack Flips Over its New Kitchen Design
Customization is one thing, but seeing, feeling and working with restaurant equipment in a real-world kitchen environment takes it to a whole new level. That’s what happened when TriMark United East invited Shake Shack executives to experience a reconfigured layout for Shake Shack, complete with new counters, cook line, and griddles. The Shake Shack team had the opportunity to do hands-on testing (complete with flipping burgers on the new grill) and ended up with a more efficient design in the back of the house. They also had a chance to meet the entire TriMark United East team, including project managers, installers and sales people.

Customized restaurant equipment solution to ensure more efficient flow and function
“The opportunity to work closely with Shake Shack’s concept designers to try to value engineer the ‘engine’ while preserving the unique feel of a classic open kitchen for them was an invigorating and rewarding challenge for our entire team,” said Paul O’Keefe, CFSP, Senior Director of National Accounts for TriMark United East.
“TriMark extended the kind of personalized service that made us feel like we were their only customer,” said Justin A. Gould, Design Project Manager for Shake Shack.
